The Dempsey Law Firm LLC has been serving Northeast and North Central Georgia for over 10 years. Jed Dempsey is a native Georgian from Athens who decided to open his solo practice in the neighborly atmosphere of Clarkesville, GA. He has successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants, and his primary areas of practice are domestic and family law, litigation, wills, probate and estate, and Juvenile Court matters, along with the general practice of law necessary in a small town.

Jed Dempsey, Lawyer
Jed Dempsey is the owner and attorney of The Dempsey Law Firm, LLC, located in Habersham County, Georgia. A native of Athens, Georgia, Jed graduated from Clarke Central High School in 1984. He then went on to earn his law degree from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1991.
Mr. Dempsey was admitted to the Georgia Bar in July 1991, followed by admissions to the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Georgia in May 1992. He began his career in Washington D.C., serving as a Legislative Correspondent for Congressman J. Roy Rowland and Frank J. Guarini, Jr. on Capitol Hill. He later transitioned to the New Media Department at US News and World Report.
In 2003, Jed returned to his Georgia roots, settling in Habersham County. After gaining experience with a local firm, he established The Dempsey Law Firm, LLC in September 2009. He brings a wealth of experience and a diverse background to his practice serving the Northeast Georgia region.
